singing based TV shows & singing talent of nagarwara

since my school days...I always wonder why people from nagarwara who are so talented in music, specially singing ......don't do anything big.....in terms of national or international level recognition....

..& now with so many TV channels running multiple singing based shows... like SRGMP, StarVOI, Indian Idol , K4Kishore etc etc.......still we don't see anyone from our samaz participating in any of such shows....

what do we lack to participate ?
- these competition doesn't require any fee...so we can't use excuse like....financial reasons ..
- or do we have fear of failure? what if I participate there , don't get selected....then everyone in nagarwara will make fun of me ?
- or is it just that we don't have any desire to make it big ? we are happy in our daily routine life either as a engineer, doctor, banker, marketing person...etc etc
- or we r happy in singing in wedding functions or NSC programe & don't want to go further...

I don't know the reason myself......but I won't hesitate to say that many times while listening to songs from some singers in TV shows.....I feel that ohh ...that guy in nagarwara can sing better than this TV guy

I would be happiest person....when I will see someone from our samaz participating in such TV singing based programe....
And even if that person might not win the competition....but nagarwara samaz will be surely a winner...& such things will encourage more & more people to participate & make proud for our samaz....

The same question arise in my mind whenever i see some performance in some reality show that can be performed better by guys of our community.... but i think the guys in our community is in dearth of execution.... means they know that they have talent and can perform better than that guys.... but never take the step .... mujhe aisa lagta hai ki humne ek mindset se bana liya hai ki agar kisi ne science liya to wo engineer hi banega... or agar kissi ne commerce liya hai to wo keval Graduation ke baad MBA karega... or phir aage ki kahani to sabko pata hai... viha or shadi.... :) .... or ha aapne jo reason discuss kiye hai wo bhi kuch sahi hai.....

the basic problem lies in thinking pattern of our samaj, where they dont have any strong leadership to show them the right way and give financial as well as moral support,to participate in such events, the funda is we should create a talent hunt club, where in we should undertake cultural events within nagarwara and should keep the winners well informed that when a particular audition is happening and where, and that u have to be there one day before, and join the que,one member from the club will assist you,and so on,when there is a will there is a way,i myself have participated in dozens of auditions, though not selected yet but at least i have tried.well i really appriciate your this genuine effort,to create awareness among us,keep it up,the day will come when one nagar will do the honour for us thanks parag
